2021 Students 2 Speak Summer Program

The 2021 Students 2 Speak Summer Debate Program is an intensive course run by famed high school debaters for those in Grade 6 - 8. The course takes place for 1 hour once a week over the span of 10 classes and is aimed at those who are new to debating. Students will learn the necessary public speaking, strategizing, and note taking skills necessary by participating in weekly discussions, lessons, and guided practice rounds. A full course fee of $100/student is to be paid upon entry.

The Summer Novice Debate Tournament: A Resounding Success

On Sunday August the 16th the Summer Novice Debate Tournament was hosted virtually by Students 2 Speak founder Kevin Han. With over 40 debaters participating in the tournament. Participants from around the Greater Toronto area beyond tested their skill and wits against each other in four separate debate rounds. Four teams eventually qualified for the final round. Yet only one team emerged victorious, Jin Zhou and Lucy Du of Team Avatar. Congratulations to them for their victory. We hope that everyone had a splendid time debating and potentially even making new friends. In conclusion, this debate tournament was a tremendous success.
